Do not include cards that are commonly evaluated as too slow, inefficient, or low-impact for cEDH. The deck should operate with a focus on speed, efficiency, redundancy, and resilience under interaction.

Cards must meet the following criteria:

Low mana cost (ideally 0–2 mana; exceptions must have immediate, game-shifting impact or directly enable a win condition)

Immediate impact or utility (no delayed value engines like Phyrexian Arena unless part of a compact combo or lock)

Playable in the early turns without hindering tempo (avoid lands like Temple of the False *** or Myriad Landscape that slow opening hands)

Synergistic with commander or game plan — cards must work within the deck’s primary engine, not merely be generically "good"

No clunky cards with inefficient rate (Solemn Simulacrum, Salvaging Station, etc. are too slow or low impact)

For comparison, if a card like Offer Immortality is being considered, replace it with strictly better or more competitive options (e.g. Malakir Rebirth). Cards that only offer protection or recursion at inefficient mana rates should be excluded unless they have combo utility or modal flexibility.

Avoid casual-tier cards or cards typically found in mid-power metas. Use recent top 16 cEDH tournament lists (100+ players) as a reference baseline for card power level and deck structure. This is a competitive multiplayer deck — speed and consistency take priority over theme or flavor.
The commander gains value when opponents discard or sacrifice creatures. The deck should focus on stax, discard, or hybrid archetypes that can exploit these triggers while remaining competitively viable. If stax is used, it must be fast, asymmetrical, and not dilute the deck’s ability to close games efficiently.
